Material for Video
All entries are required to begin with a 3 minute segment that best represents your group. After this segment, include up to 7 minutes but no more than 10 additional minutes of music. The total playing time for your video should not exceed 13 minutes.
What to play is entirely up to you. You may play a multi-movement work, several short pieces, or even select various movements from different pieces. Select music of contrasting styles to best show off the full range of your group’s abilities. The competition is not limited to classical brass chamber music.
Technical Specifications of the Video
You may record your ensemble wherever you wish – on stage or in your living room, but do so using only one stationary camera. All members of the group must be present in the video at all times. Try to fill as much of the frame with your group as possible. As this is a competition based primarily on the sound of your group, using a high quality external microphone is strongly recommended.
Pans, zooms, cuts, fades, and multiple cameras are not allowed and will result in disqualification.
Individual movements must be played in entirety, but you may cut between movements of a larger piece.
All entries submitted should be of the highest quality - 720p or 1080p preferably.
